The Green Gen Flax Bottle® is made entirely from bio-sourced or recycled materials and is the alternative to heavy, fragile glass bottles.

The Green Gen Bottle® is the combination of 3 structural materials:

A liner in rPET (or PET depending on volumes and availability) for wines and PLA for spirits.

PET is suitable for food according to international (FDA) and European (EU) standards.
It guarantees the safety of food products while ensuring their conservation and quality.
The liner for spirits is made from PLA, a product with 100% plant-based components that makes the bottle 100% bio-sourced and industrially compostable.

Green Gen Bottle®

A composite shell made with flax fibres.

This opaque material is 100% natural and bio-sourced. It minimises the bottle’s environmental impact and gives it a unique, natural and elegant design.
Reusable even before being recycled, the Green Gen Flax Bottle® is the bottle you don’t throw away (use for water or wine from a bag-in-box for example).

A bio-sourced, 100% natural French resin.

It sets the flax fibre and stiffens it.
The combination of resin and flax fibre forms an extremely lightweight and super solid composite that provides structure for the food grade liner while retaining the shape of the bottle.

  • It is grown locally; France is the world’s biggest producer of flax.
    The Green Gen Bottle® in flax fibre is made in the south-west.

Flax gives the Green Gen Bottle® the possibility of being personalised.
We can keep the natural colour of the flax fibre or colour the fibre in different shades to match your brand identity.

Technical information

Green Gen Bottle®

Dimensions: 28 cm.

Shapes: Burgundy – Bordeaux – Spirits.

Capacity: 70 cl for spirits and 75 cl for still wines.

Empty weight: only 85 g! To compare, a glass bottle weighs between 400g and 1 kg.

Bottle sizes can be customised to suit your needs.

Available colours: the beige colour corresponds to the natural colour of the flax fibre. It can be bleached or dyed to the colour of your choice.

Our technology: long fibres

The long fibers give an atypical and unique design to our composite containers. They will elegantly enhance all your high-end products.

Our main development in this field revolves around the braiding of linen (Masters of Linen® certified), to create a solid, aesthetically pleasing envelope.

Our containers are customizable. It is possible to color the fibers in different shades and obtain a more or less organic feel according to your expectations.

Flax fibres

  • 100% renewable, biodegradable plant-based resource,
  • A local fibre: France is the world’s leading producer of flax,
  • Other fibres can be used depending on your needs (hemp, etc.).

Bio-sourced resins

  • A sustainable alternative in the face of increasing scarcity of non-renewable resources (sand, oil, etc.),

Frequently Asked Questions

The flax we use comes from Hauts de France and Normandy.

The bio-sourced resins are 100% French.

The rPET, PET or PLA shell is blow-moulded in France.

We favour French production.

The harvested flax fibre is spun in Béthune (59), by our spinning partner Safilin, and woven in Comines (59) by STN Tressage. The bottles are then assembled in our factory in Portet-sur-Garonne (31).

The GGB is an innovative, high-quality object, designed for multiple uses.

But we suggest keeping it and giving it a second life! Once empty, it can be rinsed and reused to store various drinks.

The rPET food-grade liner and the flax fibre envelope are recyclable separately. The bottle can go in the waste sorting bin.

The Green Gen Bottle® is eco-designed to have a low carbon impact:

  • It is produced in France, from flax grown in France, which requires very little water.
  • The composite technology we use is made at room temperature. No energy-intensive machines are needed to manufacture the bottles.
  • Because it is lighter and more compact than traditional glass bottles, the costs and carbon impact of transporting it are lower.
  • The bottle is hard-wearing and can be reused many times.
