Green Gen Technologies® opens its Factory 1.0 in Bergerac.

On 03 August 2023, we started production in our brand new Green Gen Technologies® Factory in Bergerac. Discover this Factory 1.0, a true representation of our growing power!

A quick reminder

As a reminder, the Green Gen water bottle is produced in the Taulou factory, our partners in Bergerac, then assembled next door at the ESAT Papillon Blanc, which employs disabled workers. They also take care of storage and shipping.

Since 03 August, the Green Gen Bottle® has been produced in our H41 factory in Bergerac, which we are proud to present to you in this article!

About this first plant :

Historically, Green Gen Technologies® has based its R&D at its premises near Toulouse in Portet-Sur-Garonne, run by our doctorate in materials engineering, Aline Rogeon.

After an initial production-test phase, this beta workshop transferred its production activities on 03 August to Usine H41 on the ESCAT industrial estate in Bergerac. This production facility is better suited to production growth and gradual automation.

From an operational point of view, Plant H41 has drawn on the lessons learned from the Portet workshop to improve and perfect all our processes, in order to produce more efficiently, in larger volumes and achieve economies of scale.

Our brand new Plant H41 will therefore be moving step by step towards version 2.0, expanding from 2,500 to 5,000 m2, thanks to reinforced production teams aiming for 8 to 10 operators by the end of the year. At the same time, the production process will be mechanised to increase output and satisfy strong demand.

The ultimate aim is to produce several million bottles a year in Bergerac, in a plant that is energy self-sufficient and highly automated.

What is the strategy for this plant?

Our strategy at Green Gen Technologies® is to implement ‘multi-local’ development, i.e. to set up several plants, all in close proximity to their market.

We have already been contacted for projects in the UK, California and Australia.

The Bergerac factory is therefore the pilot plant.

We are in the process of setting up a South-West regional hub around our Bergerac site, with distribution agreements for the sale of bottles and technical agreements for bottling for regional wine customers.

About this first plant :

In December 2023, we will receive a braiding machine in Bergerac, which will enable us to intensify our production and improve productivity, in order to increase the attractiveness of our bottles and their marketing.
